Chartwell’s latest communications industry survey now live

By Suzanne Haggerty, Research Manager –

Utility communications have undergone a significant transformation in recent years as technological progressions have made new channels available and customer preferences have continued to evolve.

Earlier this year, Chartwell’s Communications Industry Benchmark Survey of 43 utilities revealed that utilities are taking an active approach to connecting with their customers, using contact centers, websites, social media and email as interaction opportunities. Companies are also widely utilizing on-bill messaging, traditional mail, IVR, mobile websites and text messaging to communicate with customers.

Help your utility mature its communication strategy by getting the latest Chartwell research. This year’s Communications Industry Benchmark Survey addresses internal and customer communications. Topics include channels and messaging, segmentation, organizational structures, key performance indicators and industry comparisons.

All survey respondents will receive a copy of the survey results. To gain access to the survey, contact Zahra Dhanani at

  1. Julie Thompson says:

Our organization, as many others, is focused on the customer experience. I am interested in seeing the survey on what others are doing. We need to move from a stance where we “think” we know what the customer wants, to looking at data to determine what they actually want.
