Increasing Enrollment in Bill Alerts

In 2016, SMUD launched a multimedia campaign in an effort to enroll its customers in the utility’s Bill Alerts program, part of online energy management  the utility’s tool suite. As a result of the campaign, the utility exceeded its Bill Alerts enrollment goal and significantly increased My Account enrollments during the campaign timeframe. SMUD took home Chartwell’s 2017 Silver Award in Billing and Payment Programs for the campaign.
