Dashboard and Analytics – September 2022

The outage council’s September call featured a presentation by Tim Hendren of Duke Energy about his utility’s extensive work to unite customer and operational data in dynamic dashboards that provide insight in a variety of areas including impacts to CSAT. During problem solving, members discussed a number of member requests. Consumers Energy asked whether other members suppressed non-emergency communications during major events and under what conditions. Idaho Power asked other members how they ensure the accuracy of outage notifications when OMS data can sometimes falsely indicate outages. NB Power asked for feedback on the company’s plans to create an ETR officer role.
