Austin Energy’s EV Buyer’s Guide Paves Way for Drivers to Go Electric
As part of a multi-faceted transportation electrification drive to help accomplish the city of Austin’s goal of net zero emissions by 2040, Austin Energy launched its EV Buyer’s Guide in 2019. Since its November 2019 launch, the guide has had more than 130,000 visits, with nearly 5,000 EVs sold and registered in Austin during that time. The utility took home Chartwell’s 2021 Gold Best Practices Award in Communications for the initiative.
