Digital Experience – Piloting Apple Watch Apps

Since mobile became synonymous with customer experience, the Exelon family of utilities has been offering innovative and industry-leading mobile solutions for customers, and its latest Apple Watch pilot app is no different. After initially rolling out the wearables pilot to customers at PECO in 2018, Exelon has since launched the program at BGE and ComEd and plans to expand the pilot to Pepco later this year. Though the current version of the app is distinctly informative as opposed to transactional, Exelon hopes the pilots will offer valuable lessons learned about customer preferences, usage patterns and effective marketing campaigns to help inform future engagement opportunities and enhance the overall suite of mobile offerings.
