SMECO successfully pivots EE Kit program to target children at home during COVID-19

Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO) earned Chartwell’s 2020 Silver Best Practices Award in Program Marketing for the Kits for Kids program, launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to address its members’ new home-centered way of life. Leveraging existing communication channels, SMECO received 1,900 kit requests in just 48 hours.
