AEP Applies Seasonal Historical Approach to Improve ETR Accuracy

Faced with poor accuracy performance and low customer satisfaction with estimated times of restoration (ETRs), AEP undertook a project last year that applied statistical modeling to develop more accurate estimates. In this presentation, AEP will share the company’s approach to the problem, the factors identified as most influential on ETR accuracy, the development of its statistical model via a Cognos-based interface, and the impact of the project on performance and customer satisfaction.
