Hydro Ottawa Programs Minimize Impact of Planned Work in COVID Era
In 2021, Hydro Ottawa launched its Battery Loan Pilot Program to reduce the customer inconvenience caused by planned power outages associated with underground cable replacement projects. The utility also transitioned its Planned Work Open Houses to a virtual format, providing customers with safe options during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hydro Ottawa won Chartwell’s 2022 Bronze Award in Outage Restoration for its innovations.
