Tampa Electric launched a project in early 2020 to modernize its online outage experience, pinpointing issues related to system availability and mobile compatibility. Improvements have driven outage self-service adoption and customer satisfaction gains while decreasing contact center volume. The utility took home Chartwell’s 2021 Silver Outage Communications Award for its efforts.
