SCE’s Use of Robotic Process Automation Boosts Internal Productivity

SCE’s Digital Labor team has developed a strategy to leverage robotics to assist personnel within the utility’s front- and back-office departments. More than 60 robotic automations were deployed by the fall of 2022, resulting in more than $8 million in cost avoidance. Additionally, the automations have mitigated the need to hire approximately 100 full-time employees that would have been required to process the tasks manually. SCE continues to leverage robotics process automation to propel digital transformation across the utility.
