When COVID-19 struck in March, DTE Energy moved quickly to sequester critical employees

Detroit-based DTE Energy posted strong second-quarter results in late July with a report that praised the swift response of its employees to keep workers and customers safe in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.


“I couldn’t be prouder of our employees’ efforts to meet the needs of our customers while at the same time focusing on keeping our company on track,” said Jerry Norcia, DTE Energy President and CEO. “As a result, we’re entering the second half of the year in great shape.”

DTE’s pandemic response was in part an adaptation of the company’s storm playbook, with continual adjustments and recalibrations in response to unforeseen circumstances.
