Broadening the Reach of Outage Communications

In 2017, Hawaiian Electric simultaneously launched a new mobile app and a web-based outage reporting tool in an effort to improve its customers’ experience and satisfaction and provide a more expeditious path for notifying the utility of outages. A strategic marketing campaign successfully introduced the new features to customers, resulting in growing adoption and positive feedback. Hawaiian Electric took home Chartwell’s 2019 Bronze Award in Outage Communications for its efforts.

Attend this webinar to learn how Hawaiian Electric used page-based traffic data to recognize the growing role of its web presence in outage communications and defined requirements that allowed the company to develop online and app-based outage reporting functionality simultaneously.
