SCE Leverages Rotating Outage Notifications to Advance Critical Customer Communications

In 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, residents in SCE’s service territory experienced multiple wildfires, record-breaking heat waves, and, finally, unexpected rotating outages. The utility’s outage communications were put to the test, and by leveraging its Emergency Outage Notifications System and prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction, the company was able to minimize inconvenience and build trust despite the ongoing emergencies. SCE took home Chartwell’s 2022 Silver Award in Outage Communications for its efforts.
